Health & Fitness Daily ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Health Data (via Apple HealthKit)
With your explicit permission, the App may access the following health data from Apple HealthKit:
- Steps and Activity: Daily step counts, walking/running distance, and active energy burned
- Sleep Data: Sleep analysis including bedtime, wake time, and sleep duration
- Heart Rate: Heart rate measurements
- Weight and Body Composition: Weight entries, body fat percentage, lean body mass, and BMI
- Workouts: Workout sessions including type, duration, and calories burned
This health data is used solely to display your fitness progress within the App, track trends over time, and sync workout data between the App and Apple Health.
Nutrition Data
The App allows you to track food intake, including:
- Food names and descriptions
- Nutritional information (calories, protein, carbs, fats, etc.)
- Serving sizes
- Meal timing
Photos (for AI Food Analysis)
When you choose to use the AI food photo analysis feature:
- Your food photos are sent to our secure server for processing
- Photos are analyzed using AI to estimate nutritional content
- Photos are not stored on our servers after analysis is complete
How Your Data is Stored
Local Storage
All your personal data—including health metrics, nutrition logs, habits, supplements, weight entries, and app preferences—is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. This data is not transmitted to external servers except as described below.
Data Transmission
The only data transmitted externally is:
- Food photos: When using AI photo analysis, images are sent to our secure API proxy for AI processing. Photos are processed in real-time and are not retained.
Third-Party Services
OpenAI
We use OpenAI's services to analyze food photos and provide nutritional estimates. When you use the AI photo analysis feature, your food photo is processed by OpenAI's API via our secure proxy server. OpenAI's privacy policy applies to their processing.
Apple HealthKit
If you grant permission, the App integrates with Apple HealthKit. Apple's privacy policy applies to HealthKit data.
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:
- All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
- Local data is stored using the device's secure storage mechanisms
- We do not store your health data on external servers
- API requests are proxied through secure servers to protect credentials
Your Rights and Choices
Access and Control
- You can view all your data within the App at any time
- You can delete your data by using the "Clear Data" option in the App settings
- You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time through iOS Settings
Data Deletion
To delete all your data:
- Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Health & Fitness Daily
- Tap "Turn Off All" to revoke HealthKit access
- Delete the App from your device
This will remove all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Since we do not sell personal information and store data locally on your device, most CCPA provisions do not apply. International Users
The App is designed primarily for users in the United States. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.
